Wanderlusts, have you ever wondered where our Indonesian passport stands in terms of visa-free access compared to other countries in the world? The 2018 Henley Passport Index, released by Henley and Partners in association with IATA, has dived into the data to answer your questions. This index measures travel freedom of 219 different countries and territories based on an authoritative database of information.

This year sees the Indonesian passport climb up seven places to rank 72nd globally. The beloved green-covered passport that we carry on our travels abroad now has visa-free access to 63 countries around the world. Germany remains at the top globally with visa-free access to 177 countries


Singapore climbs two places to secure 2nd position with visa-free access to 176 countires


Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Japan, Norway, Sweden and the UK are joint third with 175 countries in their list.
