The Rebirth of PlayStation One

We have very good news for all PlayStation One loyal fans! The legendary video game console is finally returning to bring back old but gold memories.

With today’s advanced gaming consoles such as PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and others, some might be craving for those old classic games of PlayStation One that people used to go nuts for. Fortunately, Sony is bringing the console back! This time, it’s coming in a much smaller size but will still give the same exciting retro gaming experience.

Called PlayStation Classic, it is an instant show-stealer as it looks exactly the same as the old-school console aesthetic. However, it’s going to be presented at just 45% of the original version’s size. Staying true to its roots, Sony doesn’t give any notable upgrades like wireless gamepads that have been trending these days. Both of the controllers will still have a roughly 1.5m cord, but this time they’re using a standard USB instead of a proprietary connector.

First launched in 1994, PlayStation One has tons of exciting retro games. Knowing how much people miss those kind of classic yet challenging games, PlayStation Classic will come pre-loaded with 20 hit titles such as Grand Theft Auto, Tekken 3, Final Fantasy VII, Twisted Metal, Metal Gear Solid, and others. But, it’s important to note that new games cannot be added.

The iconic video game console will be out globally on December 3 (the same date as when it was released on 1994) for $99.99 MSRP, so fasten your seatbelt to go back to the 90’s gaming experience!
